I'm George — a software engineer based in Bristol with around a decade of industry experience. I run GB Software, an independent studio where I design and build websites, web apps and the tools businesses run on, working directly with founders and owners from first conversation to launch.

Before going out on my own I spent years inside product teams, building event-driven systems, internal tools and customer-facing products across .NET, React and TypeScript. I care about doing things properly: software that's fast, accessible, and simple enough that the people who own it can actually run it themselves.

Away from the keyboard I'm usually outdoors and close to the sea. I surf, I'm an ex-sailor slowly finding my way back onto the water, and my camper van makes it easy to chase good weather and quiet stretches of coast. A lot of that ends up in front of a film camera.
